A classic serif with pronounced stroke contrast, bracketed wedge-like serifs, and a crisp, print-oriented finish. Capitals are sturdy and relatively compact, with sharp terminals on forms like E, F, and T, and a balanced, traditional construction in round letters such as C, O, and Q. Lowercase shows a familiar book-face rhythm: a two-storey a, a two-storey g with a distinct ear, and a narrow, energetic s; ascenders are firm and vertical while bowls and joins keep a controlled, slightly calligraphic modulation. Numerals are lining-style and proportional in feel, with clear thick–thin transitions and sturdy stems that match the text color of the letters.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial settings where a familiar serif texture is desired, and it also performs confidently for headlines, pull quotes, and section titling. The strong contrast and crisp serifs make it particularly effective in print-like layouts and formal communication materials.

The overall tone is traditional and serious, evoking printed literature and established editorial typography. Its strong contrast and sharp serifs communicate authority and refinement, with a dignified, slightly dramatic texture at larger sizes.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast serif for comfortable reading and authoritative typography, emphasizing traditional letterforms, clear differentiation, and a polished, editorial presence.

At display sizes the contrast and pointed details become especially prominent, creating a lively sparkle in dense text. The spacing and proportions read as conventional and disciplined, supporting an even line without looking geometric or overly mechanical.
