A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and delicate hairline serifs. The letterforms show a predominantly vertical stress, crisp joins, and tapered terminals that create a lively, calligraphic sheen without leaning italic. Capitals are stately and open, with generous curves in C, G, and O and crisp crossbars in E and F; the overall rhythm feels balanced and slightly formal. Lowercase forms are compact and text-oriented, with a two-storey a and g, narrow arches in m/n, and fine entry/exit strokes that keep counters clear while maintaining a sharp, polished edge. Numerals follow the same contrast and refinement, reading well at display sizes while remaining consistent with the text color.

Well-suited to editorial design such as magazine features, pull quotes, and book typography where a refined, classic voice is desired. It also works effectively for upscale branding, packaging, and formal materials like invitations or programs, particularly at medium to large sizes where the hairline details can remain crisp.

The tone is sophisticated and traditional, projecting an editorial, literary confidence. Its dramatic contrast and fine details add a sense of luxury and ceremony, making text feel curated and intentional rather than casual.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, high-contrast serif voice with a premium editorial presence, combining traditional proportions with sharper modern crispness for strong typographic hierarchy in titles and refined reading environments.

The thin strokes and small serifs contribute to a bright, shimmering texture in continuous text, especially at larger sizes. Spacing appears measured and steady, supporting clean word shapes and an even baseline rhythm.
