A heavy slab serif with assertive, squared-off terminals and thick rectangular serifs that read as strongly anchored. Stems are broad and steady, with moderate stroke modulation that’s most noticeable where bowls meet stems and at joins. Curves are generously rounded but kept taut, producing sturdy counters (especially in O/C/G) and a compact, muscular texture in words. The lowercase is built with single-storey a and g, a sturdy, short-armed r, and wide, weighty arches in m and n; numerals are similarly blocky, with an open-top 4 and full, rounded forms in 6/8/9.

Best suited to large sizes where its heavy slabs and compact counters can deliver maximum impact—headlines, posters, branding marks, labels, and storefront-style signage. It can work for short editorial callouts or subheads, but long passages will read quite dense due to the substantial weight and tight inner apertures.

The tone is bold and dependable, with a classic print sensibility that feels at home in headlines and display settings. Its slab structure and compact internal spaces create a no-nonsense, workmanlike voice that can also read as retro or collegiate depending on color and layout.

The design appears aimed at delivering strong, immediately legible letterforms with a classic slab-serif backbone—prioritizing solidity, authority, and a bold printed presence over delicacy or minimalism.

Spacing appears intentionally generous for such a dark weight, helping the dense shapes stay legible in short lines. The design keeps details simple and avoids decorative flourishes, relying on mass, clear silhouettes, and consistent serif treatment for impact.
