A refined serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and gently flared stroke endings that give verticals a subtle swell at the terminals. Proportions run on the condensed side, with tall capitals and a tidy, even rhythm in text. Curves are clean and relatively open, and the overall stroke contrast reads as moderate to high, especially in round letters and the numerals. The lowercase forms keep a traditional structure, with a two-storey “g” and clear, compact counters.

Well-suited to editorial typography where a traditional serif voice is desired, including magazine features, essays, and book interior settings. The condensed proportions also make it effective for space-conscious headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and brand wordmarks that benefit from a formal, established feel.

The tone is classical and composed, with an editorial gravitas that feels literary rather than decorative. Its narrow stance and sharp finishing details add a slightly assertive, authoritative voice while remaining conventional and readable.

The design appears intended to modernize a traditional serif model by pairing condensed proportions with crisp, subtly flared finishing, creating a dignified text face that can also hold its own in display sizes.

In the sample text, the punctuation and numerals maintain the same crisp, slightly flared finishing, helping long lines keep a consistent texture. The condensed width supports dense settings without looking cramped, and the capitals carry a stately presence for headings and initials.
