This is an italic slab serif with sturdy, rectangular serifs and a pronounced rightward slant. Strokes show moderate contrast with clear thick–thin modulation, while terminals remain crisp and squared, giving the letterforms a firm, engineered finish. Uppercase shapes are broad and authoritative, with strong horizontals on E/F/T and a rounded, open C/G; the Q features a distinct, sweeping tail. Lowercase forms are italicized with compact counters and firm slab feet, including a single-storey a and g, and a bold, slightly angular rhythm through k, v, w, and x. Numerals are sturdy and legible, with slab bases and clear differentiation across widths.

It suits editorial and publishing contexts where an italic with real presence is needed—magazine headlines, decks, pull quotes, and emphasized passages. The bold slab detailing also makes it effective for book-cover typography and brand messaging that wants a classic-but-firm tone.

The overall tone feels traditional and editorial—serious, literate, and slightly formal—while the bold slab presence keeps it assertive and pragmatic. The italic angle adds momentum and emphasis, suggesting quoting, commentary, or headline-driven storytelling rather than quiet neutrality.

The design appears intended to deliver an italic that carries the authority of a slab serif: expressive enough for emphasis and display, yet structured and robust for clear, impactful setting. Its squared terminals and solid serifs suggest a goal of combining traditional readability with a more industrial, punchy stance.

Serifs read as consistently thick and blocky, helping the design hold up in heavier text settings and giving strong word-shape definition. The italic construction maintains a disciplined structure rather than a cursive feel, balancing classical typography cues with a more industrial, square-ended finish.
