A high-contrast serif with heavy, sculpted stems and sharply tapered, wedge-like serifs that often flare into triangular points. The design emphasizes carved-in notches and inward cuts at joins (notably in letters like B, D, M, N, and W), creating a faceted rhythm and strong black shapes. Curves are tight and robust, with small counters and crisp interior apertures; terminals frequently resolve into angled beaks or teardrop-like forms. Overall spacing reads on the tight side in the sample, with a compact, headline-oriented texture and a pronounced, rhythmic modulation between thick verticals and fine connecting strokes.

Best suited to display settings such as headlines, posters, book covers, and brand marks where its high contrast and sharp detailing can read large and intentional. It can also work for short editorial callouts and section openers where a dense, authoritative typographic color is desirable.

The tone is assertive and theatrical, combining a traditional serif backbone with stylized, blade-like detailing. It feels editorial and declarative, suited to attention-grabbing statements while still retaining a recognizable, conventional serif voice. The sharp cuts and pointed serifs add a slightly gothic or vintage-display edge without tipping into overt novelty.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with heightened contrast and sculptural detailing for impact. Its pointed serifs, carved joins, and compact counters suggest a focus on strong presence in large sizes while maintaining a broadly familiar letter structure.

Distinctive diagonals and interior cut-ins give many glyphs a chiseled, engraved character. Numerals share the same bold, high-contrast logic, with strong curves and angled terminals that keep figures visually consistent with capitals. Lowercase forms remain sturdy and readable, with a single-storey ‘a’ and compact bowls that reinforce the dense, dark color on the page.
