This serif has an old-style, calligraphic skeleton with noticeably uneven, inked contours. Strokes show strong thick–thin modulation and tapered terminals, while serifs are small, bracketed, and often flare into wedge-like feet. The outlines are intentionally irregular, with slight nicks and bulges that create a printed-from-type or distressed-ink impression. Proportions are moderately compact with a steady baseline rhythm, and counters remain open enough to keep forms readable despite the textured edges.

It works well for display and short-to-medium editorial settings where character is desirable—book and chapter titles, pull quotes, magazine features, packaging, and period-inspired posters. In body copy, it’s best at comfortable sizes where the roughened edges don’t crowd the counters and the high contrast remains crisp.

The overall tone feels antique and literary, like a page from an older book or a hand-inked broadside. Its lively imperfections add warmth and personality, suggesting craftsmanship and a lightly worn patina rather than clinical precision.

The design appears intended to blend traditional old-style proportions with deliberate, ink-worn irregularity, producing a historically flavored serif that feels human and tactile. It aims to deliver a classic reading rhythm while adding distinctive texture for atmospheric typography.

Uppercase forms carry a dignified, classical presence, while the lowercase introduces more bounce and idiosyncrasy in bowls and shoulders. Numerals follow the same textured logic and read clearly, with a slightly calligraphic flavor that keeps them consistent with the text color.
