A sculpted serif with pronounced contrast and tapered, flaring terminals that give the strokes a chiseled, slightly calligraphic finish. Bracketed serifs and swelling joins create a lively rhythm, while verticals read sturdy and dark against finer hairlines. Counters are generally compact, and the overall texture is dense and authoritative, with noticeable stroke modulation in both capitals and lowercase. The numerals follow the same engraved logic, with strong curves and sharp, tapering ends that keep the set cohesive.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and display typography where its contrast and flared terminals can be appreciated at size. It works well for editorial titling, cultural or heritage-forward branding, packaging, and poster work that needs a classic but punchy voice. In longer passages, it will create a dark, assertive texture, making it more appropriate for pull quotes and short blocks than small, airy reading sizes.

The typeface conveys a traditional, editorial seriousness with a touch of theatrical flourish. Its dramatic thick–thin pattern and flared endings suggest refinement and heritage, while the weight and crisp edges add confidence and impact. Overall it reads as formal and attention-grabbing without feeling ornamental.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif structure with a more sculptural, flared-stem treatment to increase presence and personality. It prioritizes impact and elegance—delivering an editorial, premium feel through high-contrast modulation and carefully shaped terminals.

Capitals are tall and stately, with a classical stance and prominent curved forms (notably in C, G, O, Q) that emphasize contrast. Lowercase shows a slightly condensed, energetic pattern with expressive terminals and a strong baseline presence, helping the font hold together in large text settings.
