A high-contrast serif with strong vertical stems and extremely fine hairlines, creating a sharp light–dark rhythm. Serifs are thin and crisp with minimal bracketing, and joins stay clean and refined even where strokes taper into hairlines. Proportions feel generously set, with broad uppercase forms, ample sidebearings, and open counters that keep the heavy strokes from clogging. The lowercase shows a traditional, slightly calligraphic construction—noticeable in the ear and terminal behavior—while maintaining an overall disciplined, upright texture.

Best suited for headlines, pull quotes, and prominent titling where its contrast and hairline serifs can be appreciated. It works well for fashion, culture, and luxury editorial layouts, as well as branding and packaging that benefit from a refined, high-impact serif voice. For longer text, it will generally prefer larger point sizes and comfortable spacing to maintain clarity.

The tone is formal and attention-grabbing, combining elegance with a hint of drama. Its razor-thin hairlines and assertive thick strokes give it a fashion/editorial feel, while the classic serif structure suggests heritage and authority. Overall it reads as premium and deliberate rather than casual or utilitarian.

The design appears intended to deliver a modernized Didone-like elegance: commanding thick stems, sparkling hairlines, and a poised, upscale texture for display typography. It prioritizes visual drama and refinement, aiming for a polished editorial presence rather than everyday body-text neutrality.

At larger sizes the contrast and fine details become a key feature; in denser settings the hairlines may visually soften, so generous leading and careful background/ink choices help preserve the intended sparkle. Numerals and capitals match the same sculpted contrast, supporting headline use with a consistent, high-impact color.
