A high-contrast serif italic with a crisp, sharply modulated stroke and tapered terminals. The serifs are bracketed and finely cut, with a lively, calligraphic rhythm created by angled stress and sweeping entry/exit strokes. Letterforms are relatively narrow and dynamic, with generous ascenders and descenders that add vertical elegance, and an italic structure that is consistent across caps, lowercase, and numerals. Curves (notably in C, G, O, and the lowercase rounds) are smooth and controlled, while diagonals and joins stay clean and precise, keeping the texture polished at text sizes.

Well-suited for editorial typography where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotations, or leads, and for long-form reading contexts such as books and essays. Its refined contrast and clean shaping also make it a strong choice for elegant branding, packaging, and invitations, especially when set at medium to large sizes where the thin strokes and tapered details can be appreciated.

The overall tone feels formal and literary, with a refined, slightly dramatic flair typical of classical italics. It communicates sophistication and tradition while still feeling energetic due to its forward motion and sharp contrast.

Designed to provide a classical italic companion with a distinctly calligraphic flow, balancing readability with an elevated, cultured texture. The consistent contrast and bracketed serifs suggest an intention to perform as a conventional text serif italic while adding a graceful, expressive tone to emphasis and display settings.

Capitals show measured, inscription-like poise with subtle swash-like tendencies in a few forms (such as the Q tail and the lively S). The lowercase has an oldstyle italic feel with single-storey forms and a notably flowing f and y, producing a continuous, handwritten cadence in words. Numerals appear lining and italic, matching the same contrast and tapering for consistent color in mixed content.
