A very heavy, high-contrast serif with prominent bracketed serifs and a distinctly vertical stress. Strokes swell into rounded bowls and taper into sharp, triangular or wedge-like terminals, producing a crisp rhythm with strong thick–thin modulation. The lowercase shows compact, sturdy construction with ball-like terminals and teardrop joins on letters such as a, c, e, and g, while the capitals are broad and stately with generous interior counters for the weight. Numerals appear oldstyle in proportion, with curved forms and pronounced contrast that match the text color of the letters.

Best suited for display and short-form text where high contrast and heavy weight can shine—magazine headlines, book or album covers, poster titling, and packaging labels. It can also work for pull quotes or section headers in editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired.

The overall tone is traditional and emphatic, balancing bookish familiarity with headline-level punch. It feels authoritative and slightly theatrical, like classic print typography pushed into a bold display register.

Designed to deliver a traditional serif voice with maximum impact, combining conventional proportions with exaggerated weight and contrast for strong hierarchy. The detailing suggests an intention to evoke classic print authority while remaining distinctive in branding and headline contexts.

At larger sizes the sharp terminals and deep curves read as sculpted and decorative, while in dense settings the weight and contrast create a strong, dark typographic color. The mix of sharp serifs and rounded ball terminals gives the face a distinctive, slightly vintage flavor without looking overly ornate.
