A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation, vertical stress, and very fine hairline serifs. Capitals are stately and narrow-to-moderate in proportion, with sharp terminals and a crisp, engraved feel. Lowercase shows a relatively short x-height with tall ascenders, compact bowls, and tight internal counters that emphasize the contrast. Curves are smooth and controlled, and several letters feature subtle calligraphic/engraved inflections that create a lightly “striped” impression in curved strokes.
