A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, tapered stroke endings that flare subtly into the terminals. Serifs are sharp and wedge-like, with a chiseled, calligraphic character that shows in the angled joins and pointed beaks on several capitals. Proportions are sturdy and compact, with generous weight in the verticals and tight interior spaces in letters like B, P, and e. The lowercase shows a rounded, robust structure with a two-storey a and g, a compact t, and a fairly vertical rhythm, producing dense, impactful texture in text.

Best suited for headlines, deck lines, and pull quotes where its contrast and sculpted terminals can be appreciated. It works well for editorial identities, book or magazine titling, cultural institutions, and brand marks that want a traditional yet forceful serif voice. For longer passages, it will be most comfortable at larger text sizes or with generous leading, where the tight counters and strong contrast have room to breathe.

This typeface projects a confident, editorial voice with a slightly dramatic, classical poise. Its sharp, sculpted details and strong contrast give it a dignified, authoritative tone that feels at home in refined, traditional contexts. Overall it reads as formal and assured rather than casual or playful.

The design appears intended to deliver strong typographic presence while retaining a classically rooted serif structure. Its flared terminals and sharp, engraved-like detailing suggest an aim to feel crafted and authoritative, making text look deliberate and premium at display sizes. The compact, weighty forms also indicate an intention to hold together as dense, bold typography in short bursts of copy.

The capitals are especially commanding, with broad bowls and crisp wedge serifs that create a monumental feel. Numerals are bold and high-contrast, matching the overall engraved, display-forward character.
