A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed wedge serifs and strongly tapered hairlines. Round letters show tight, glossy-looking counters with pronounced thick–thin modulation, while verticals carry most of the weight. The lowercase combines compact, sturdy stems with a slightly lively baseline rhythm; details like the ear on “g,” the angled leg on “R,” and the slender cross-strokes on “e” and “t” reinforce a refined, bookish texture. Numerals are similarly contrasty and sharply finished, reading as traditional lining figures in this sample.

Well suited to magazine and newspaper-style typography, book jackets, and section heads where contrast and serif detail can add sophistication. It can also serve in branding and packaging that aims for heritage or premium cues, and in pull quotes or titling where its sharpness and rhythm are most visible.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, mixing elegance with a firm, authoritative presence. Its sharp serifs and dramatic stroke modulation create a slightly theatrical, high-end feel without becoming decorative or whimsical.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif with enough sharpness and width to perform confidently in editorial display roles. It balances traditional construction with crisp, attention-grabbing details that elevate it for titles and prominent text.

At larger sizes the hairlines and terminals become a defining feature, giving headlines a polished, engraved quality. The wide set and strong vertical emphasis help it hold its own in display settings, while the consistent serif logic keeps the texture coherent in paragraphs.
