A tightly condensed display serif with striking thick–thin contrast and pronounced flared terminals that broaden as strokes meet the baseline and cap line. The letterforms are tall and columnar with compact internal counters, giving the set a strong vertical rhythm. Serifs are minimal and often expressed as tapered, wedge-like feet rather than bracketed slabs, while joins and curves show crisp transitions that emphasize the engraved, sculptural feel. Numerals and capitals maintain the same narrow stance and emphatic contrast, producing a dense, poster-like texture in lines of text.

Best suited to short, high-impact settings such as magazine headlines, mastheads, posters, title sequences, and packaging where a narrow measure and strong contrast help fit more characters without losing presence. It can also work for pull quotes and section openers, but is visually intense for sustained small-text reading.

The tone is bold and theatrical, with an old-world, editorial flavor reminiscent of classic headlines and vintage advertising. Its sharp contrast and condensed stance convey authority and urgency, while the flared endings add a crafted, slightly ornamental edge.

The design appears intended to maximize impact in limited horizontal space, combining condensed proportions with high-contrast strokes and flared terminals to create an assertive, vintage-leaning display voice.

Spacing appears deliberately tight to support compact headline setting; in longer samples the texture becomes dark and continuous, with distinctive silhouettes on characters like Q, R, S, and g providing visual punctuation. Curves are controlled rather than calligraphic, favoring crisp geometry and tapered endings over soft modulation.
