A slanted serif with robust, sculpted letterforms and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Serifs are firmly bracketed with occasional beak-like terminals, giving strokes a carved, calligraphic finish rather than a purely mechanical construction. Uppercase shapes feel broad and stable with generous curves (notably in C/G/O/Q), while the lowercase carries more movement through rounded joins, teardrop-like terminals, and lively entry/exit strokes. Counters are open and clear, and the overall rhythm is energetic, with strong diagonals and a slightly “inked” feel in curves and terminals.

Best suited to display and editorial roles such as headlines, magazine features, pull quotes, and book jackets where its contrast and slant can carry personality. It can also work for branding and packaging that wants a classic, premium voice with a bit of flourish. For long-form text, it will be most comfortable at moderate sizes with ample leading.

The tone reads traditional and authoritative, but with a forward-leaning, action-oriented cadence. It suggests classic print typography—newspaper, book, or academic—tempered by a showy, competitive edge that feels at home in headlines and emphatic messaging.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation while amplifying motion and emphasis through a pronounced italic structure and calligraphic detailing. It aims to look established and serious, yet more vivid than a neutral text face, making it a natural choice for attention-grabbing editorial typography.

Figures are oldstyle-leaning in spirit, with noticeable curvature and varying widths that match the texty, calligraphic rhythm of the letters. The italic angle and pronounced contrast create strong word-shapes, though dense settings will benefit from comfortable tracking and line spacing to keep counters and joins from visually darkening.
