A strongly contrasted serif with a pronounced vertical stress and crisp, hairline serifs. Thick main stems and tapered joins create a sculpted, high-ink rhythm, while the serifs read as sharp and largely unbracketed, giving the forms a clean, cut look rather than a softened, calligraphic one. Proportions feel expansive with wide capitals and sturdy, rounded bowls; counters are generous, and apertures stay fairly open despite the weight. The lowercase shows a moderate x-height with compact ascenders and descenders, and a single-storey a paired with a double-storey g adds a traditional text flavor within an otherwise display-forward build. Figures are heavy and curvy with prominent contrast and clear baseline presence.

Well-suited for headlines, subheads, and pull quotes where contrast and width can perform as a signature. It can also work for editorial titles, book and magazine covers, and high-end branding systems that want classic authority with a sharp, modern edge.

The overall tone is confident and commanding, with an editorial polish that reads as premium and formal. Its sharp contrast and wide stance give it a theatrical, headline-ready presence while still feeling rooted in classic book and newspaper typography.

The design appears aimed at delivering a traditional serif voice with heightened contrast and presence, prioritizing impact and refinement in display and editorial contexts. Its crisp serifs and pronounced vertical structure suggest an intention to feel prestigious, decisive, and typographically expressive.

At larger sizes the fine hairlines and slender serifs add sparkle and precision; in dense settings they may require comfortable size and spacing to keep the thin features from visually receding. The design’s weight distribution emphasizes verticals, producing a steady, stately texture across lines of text.
