This serif shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with brisk, calligraphic stroke transitions and tapered joins. Serifs are finely bracketed and often end in sharp, slightly flared terminals, giving the outlines a crisp, engraved feel rather than a blunt or slabby one. Capitals are stately and open, with lively diagonals (notably in V, W, X, and Y) and a distinctly cut, angular treatment in curves and spurs. Lowercase forms keep a compact, bookish rhythm; bowls and arches are rounded yet faceted by pointed terminals, and the overall texture reads as firm and slightly dramatic at text sizes.

Well suited to book typography, editorial layouts, and long-form reading where a classical serif voice is desired. It can also serve effectively in display settings—chapter titles, pull quotes, cultural branding, and formal invitations—where its sharp terminals and contrast add sophistication and presence.

The tone is traditional and literary, with a ceremonial edge that recalls older print and inscriptional lettering. Its sharp finishing and strong contrast convey authority and seriousness, while the subtle calligraphic movement keeps it from feeling mechanical.

The design appears intended to evoke a classic, historically rooted serif with calligraphic energy and refined contrast, balancing readability with a distinctive, engraved character for both text and tasteful display work.

Several glyphs emphasize a cut-stone aesthetic—curves often resolve into angled tips, and diagonals feel intentionally crisp. Numerals carry the same contrast and pointed finishing, reading clearly and with a classic, editorial presence.
