A condensed, high-contrast serif with a distinctly angular, blackletter-leaning construction. Vertical stems dominate, while joins and terminals are cut with faceted, chiseled angles that create a crisp, beveled silhouette. Serifs are narrow and blade-like with minimal bracketing, and many letters show pointed or notched terminals that emphasize a vertical rhythm. The lowercase is compact with a modest x-height and dark, narrow counters, while capitals are tall and commanding; overall spacing feels tight and columnar, producing a dense, striking texture in text.

Best suited to display applications such as mastheads, headlines, posters, and book or album covers where its condensed stature and sharp contrast can create impact. It also fits labels and packaging that benefit from a traditional, premium, or historic voice. For longer passages, it works more as short editorial accents (pull quotes, section openers) than as continuous body text.

The font conveys a gothic, ceremonial tone—stern, traditional, and slightly ominous. Its sharp facets and steep verticality evoke historical printing and signage aesthetics while still reading as a structured, deliberate display serif. The result feels authoritative and dramatic, suited to messages that need gravitas.

The design appears intended to blend the discipline of a modern contrasted serif with cues from gothic/Old World letterforms—delivering a compact, vertical texture and a carved, faceted finish. Its primary goal is visual authority and atmosphere rather than neutrality or casual readability.

Round forms like O and 0 are rendered as angular, almost octagonal shapes, reinforcing the carved, architectural feel. The design relies on a strong thick–thin interplay, so it reads best with generous size and careful tracking to prevent hairlines and interior counters from clogging in dense settings.
