A classic serif with calligraphic modulation and clearly bracketed serifs. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin contrast with tapered terminals, producing a lively, drawn rhythm rather than a rigid, geometric feel. Capitals are elegant and slightly narrow in presence, with gently cupped serifs and smooth curves; the overall texture is open and readable with moderate spacing. Lowercase forms are compact with a relatively small x-height, noticeable ascenders, and rounded bowls; numerals follow the same old-style logic with varied widths and curved finishing strokes.

Well-suited to book typography, editorial layouts, and magazine text where a classic serif voice and a refined reading texture are desired. It also works effectively for titles, pull quotes, and formal printed pieces that benefit from a traditional, high-contrast serif presence.

The font conveys a traditional, cultivated tone—more literary and editorial than corporate or technical. Its warm, human rhythm and crisp contrast suggest formality without feeling severe, lending an academic, historical flavor to longer reading.

The design appears intended to evoke an old-style, calligraphy-informed tradition while maintaining crisp contrast and a polished, contemporary finish. Its proportions and serif treatment prioritize elegant rhythm and a cultivated text texture over blunt robustness.

In text, the vertical emphasis and crisp serifs create a refined page color, while the compact x-height makes the type feel slightly dressier and more classical at larger sizes. The italic-like calligraphic influence is present in the shaping of terminals and the movement of curves even in the roman, giving the face a graceful, flowing cadence.
