A forceful serif with broad proportions, pronounced stroke contrast, and sharply tapered, flared terminals that read like wedge serifs. Stems stay sturdy while the joins and endings widen into crisp, triangular bracketing, producing a carved, slightly calligraphic finish. Counters are generous and round in letters like O and Q, while horizontals and cross-strokes stay comparatively thin, creating a strong black–white rhythm. The lowercase shows a traditional structure with a moderate x-height and compact apertures, and the numerals follow the same high-contrast, chiseled logic with sturdy verticals and finely pointed serifs.

Well suited to editorial headlines, magazine titling, and book-cover typography where a classical, high-impact serif is desired. It can also work for posters, branding wordmarks, and pull quotes that benefit from wide proportions and sculpted serifs, particularly at sizes that preserve its fine hairlines.

The overall tone is assertive and bookish, combining classical gravitas with a theatrical edge. Its sharp, sculpted serifs and strong contrast suggest formality and tradition, while the wide stance and crisp terminals add a punchy, attention-grabbing presence.

The design appears intended to modernize a traditional, inscriptional serif voice by exaggerating width and sharpening flared terminals for added drama. It aims for a refined yet commanding presence, balancing readability with a distinctly carved, high-contrast personality.

In the text sample the heavy serifs and thin connecting strokes create a lively texture that feels best at medium-to-large sizes, where the sharp terminals and contrast can be appreciated without the thin strokes getting visually lost. The wide set and prominent serifs also contribute to a slightly display-leaning color, making lines look substantial and weighty.
