A heavy, slab-serif display face with broad proportions and stout, rectangular serifs. Strokes are mostly uniform, with subtle modulation where rounded forms meet straight stems, and the serifs read as thick, block-like terminals rather than delicate finishing strokes. Counters are relatively tight for the weight, and curves (C, O, S) are full and rounded, giving the design a dense, anchored rhythm. The lowercase follows the same robust structure, with a single-storey a and g and pronounced slab terminals that keep the texture bold and continuous in text.

Best suited to headlines, posters, signage, and branding where bold presence is the priority. It also fits packaging and label work that benefits from a sturdy, heritage-inflected voice, and it can support collegiate or team-style graphics when set in short bursts.

The overall tone is assertive and workmanlike, with a vintage American flavor reminiscent of wood type and classic collegiate or western-influenced lettering. Its weight and squared details create a sense of strength and straightforwardness, leaning more toward headline impact than subtlety.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact with a robust slab-serif framework, balancing rounded bowls with squared terminals to evoke a classic, vintage display feel. It prioritizes strong silhouette and high visibility in large-scale typography.

At larger sizes the chunky slabs and tight internal spaces create a dark, punchy typographic color; in longer settings it can feel dense. Numerals share the same heavy, squared-off character, supporting strong emphasis in headings and labels.
