A robust serif with pronounced stroke contrast and strongly bracketed serifs. Capitals are broad and steady with triangular, calligraphic terminals and a slightly sculpted, ink-trap-free finish that reads cleanly at display sizes. Lowercase shows oldstyle influence in the two-storey a and g, a compact, sturdy rhythm, and softly modulated curves; the italic is not present in the samples. Figures are weighty and traditional, with thick verticals, rounded bowls, and clear differentiation across the set.

It performs especially well in headlines, deck copy, and title treatments where its weight and contrast can provide impact without sacrificing clarity. The conventional serif structure also makes it appropriate for editorial layouts, book covers, and branding systems that need a classic, established voice.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with a bookish, institutional character that feels suited to established brands and editorial typography. Its heavy presence and crisp contrast convey seriousness and confidence rather than playfulness.

The font appears designed to offer a familiar, traditional serif voice with added punch for display use, balancing classic proportions and oldstyle lowercase cues with heavier strokes for strong typographic presence.

The design maintains an even texture in paragraphs while keeping distinctive, slightly calligraphic detailing in key shapes like Q, R, and the diagonals of V/W. Spacing appears generous enough for large text settings, and the sturdy serifs help anchor lines for headline use.
