A heavyweight serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a strongly sculpted silhouette. Stems and serifs broaden into cupped, flared endings, creating a chiseled, ink-trap-like bite at some joins and terminals. Counters are relatively compact for the weight, and apertures tend toward the tight side, which increases density in text. Round letters show sharp interior notches and brisk transitions, while diagonals and arms maintain a crisp, upright rhythm with firm, squared shoulders.

Best suited to display typography where its dense color, sharp modulation, and flared endings can be appreciated—headlines, magazine and newspaper-style titling, promotional posters, and bold packaging. It can work for short bursts of text such as pull quotes or section headers, but the tight apertures and compact counters suggest avoiding long passages at small sizes.

The overall tone is assertive and theatrical, combining traditional serif formality with a bold, poster-like punch. Its high drama and carved details give it a vintage editorial flavor—more headline authority than quiet bookishness.

The design appears aimed at delivering maximum impact with a classic serif voice, using exaggerated contrast and flared, cupped terminals to create a carved, authoritative presence. It prioritizes distinctive texture and headline legibility over neutral, low-friction reading.

Spacing and color feel intentionally dense, with strong black mass and lively interior cuts that keep large sizes from turning into plain blobs. The figures read as robust and display-oriented, matching the letterforms’ compact counters and prominent terminals.
