A robust serif with pronounced flaring at stroke ends and bracketed serifs that read as carved rather than slabbed. The design mixes sturdy vertical stems with noticeable contrast in curved joins, giving counters a crisp, sculpted feel. Uppercase forms are broad and stable, with strong horizontals on E/F and a rounded, open C/G; the Q features a clear, compact tail. Lowercase shows a traditional rhythm with a two-storey a, a compact e with a tight aperture, and a distinct, angled-shoulder r; the g is single-storey with a generous bowl and a firm ear. Numerals appear oldstyle (varying heights), with a curled 2 and a lively 3 that echo the flared, calligraphic finishing throughout.

Well-suited for editorial headlines, book and magazine titling, and brand wordmarks that need a traditional, premium voice. The strong silhouettes and flared finishing help it hold up in larger sizes for posters and packaging, while the conventional lowercase structures can also support short-form text such as pull quotes or section headers.

The overall tone is classical and self-assured, projecting a bookish, institutional confidence. Its flared endings and sculpted curves lend a slightly ceremonial, engraved quality that feels traditional rather than contemporary. In text, the rhythm reads steady and formal, with enough warmth in the curves to avoid austerity.

The design appears intended to modernize a classical serif voice by emphasizing flared stroke endings and firm, high-impact shapes. It aims for a balance of readability and presence, delivering an engraved, authoritative texture that remains controlled and consistent across uppercase, lowercase, and figures.

Spacing appears even in the sample text, and the heavy stroke presence keeps letterforms prominent at display sizes while still maintaining recognizable text shapes. The flaring is especially evident on vertical strokes and diagonals, which creates a subtle sense of movement without becoming decorative.
