A compact, heavy serif with strong vertical stress and subtly flared stroke endings. The serifs are pronounced and mostly bracketed, with wedge-like terminals that widen from the stems, giving a carved, tapered finish rather than a flat slab. Counters are relatively tight for the weight, and curves are sturdy and controlled, producing solid silhouettes with a firm baseline presence. The lowercase shows a tall x-height and short extenders, and the overall rhythm feels dense and efficient; numerals are stout and headline-oriented with simple, sturdy forms.

Best suited to headlines, mastheads, and display typography where its compact width and heavy color can deliver maximum impact in limited space. It can also work well for branding and packaging that needs a traditional, authoritative voice, especially in short phrases or stacked layouts.

The font projects an emphatic, no-nonsense tone with a traditional editorial flavor. Its weight and compactness read as confident and declarative, while the flared endings add a subtly classical, engraved character that feels established rather than trendy.

The design appears intended as a high-impact display serif that combines compact proportions with flared, wedge-like terminals to evoke classic print and editorial traditions while maintaining a modern, space-efficient footprint.

In longer settings the dense color and tight internal spaces create a strong typographic “block,” making it especially attention-grabbing at larger sizes. The heavier joins and tapered terminals can produce a slightly ink-rich, poster-like texture that emphasizes impact over delicacy.
