A compact, tightly set serif with tall proportions and a noticeably narrow footprint. Strokes show moderate contrast with subtly tapered terminals and small, flared serifs, giving the letterforms a carved or brush-drawn feel rather than a crisp mechanical finish. Edges appear intentionally roughened, with slight breaks and uneven contours that create a printed, timeworn texture. Round forms (C, O, e) are slightly compressed, and verticals dominate, producing a firm rhythm while maintaining a lively, irregular surface.

Well-suited to display roles such as posters, book covers, branding marks, and packaging where an antique or handcrafted voice is desired. It can also work for short editorial headings or pull quotes when a condensed, expressive serif is needed, while long passages may feel visually busy due to the intentional roughness.

The overall tone is old-world and characterful, evoking vintage printing, folklore titles, and handcrafted signage. Its slight roughness and quirky details read as warm and human, leaning more playful than formal while still retaining a traditional serif foundation.

The design appears intended to merge traditional old-style serif structure with a deliberately imperfect, ink-worn finish. Its narrow stance and energetic detailing suggest a focus on attention-grabbing titles and themed typography that feels historical, handmade, and slightly theatrical.

Distinctive, curled or hook-like terminals appear in several lowercase forms, and the numerals share the same textured, inked quality, helping headings and short phrases feel cohesive. The texture is strong enough to be a defining feature, so it reads best when the distressed edges are allowed to remain visible.
