This is a high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply defined, bracketed wedge serifs. Capitals are sturdy and slightly expansive, with crisp terminals and clear vertical stress in rounded forms. Lowercase shows compact, well-contained bowls and a traditional rhythm, with a two-storey a and g, and narrow joins that keep counters clean. Figures appear lining and are similarly modeled, with strong contrast and clear, print-oriented shapes that read best when given a little space.

Well suited to book typography, editorial layouts, and magazine work where a conventional serif texture and strong contrast are desirable. It also performs effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and branding that calls for a classic, authoritative presence.

The overall tone is classic and formal, evoking traditional book typography and institutional publishing. Its sharp serifs and confident contrast lend an authoritative, editorial voice that feels established rather than trendy.

The font appears designed to provide a conventional, highly legible serif voice with a refined, print-like finish. Its controlled contrast and bracketed serifs suggest an aim for timelessness and credibility across long-form reading and editorial display.

The design balances refined detail with sturdy stems, creating a polished silhouette in both display sizes and larger text settings. Curves are smooth and controlled, and the serif treatment is consistent across letters and numerals, reinforcing a cohesive, traditional texture.
