A compact serif with pronounced flaring at stroke terminals and bracketed serifs that give stems a slightly sculpted, chiseled feel. The overall color is dark and steady, with clear thick–thin modulation that reads as high-contrast in the rounds and joins while keeping a firm vertical rhythm. Uppercase forms are tall and tight, with crisp, tapered horizontals and strong, confident diagonals; lowercase maintains a conventional proportion with sturdy ascenders and descenders and a compact, efficient footprint. Counters are relatively small and the apertures tend toward closed, producing a dense, emphatic texture in text.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and editorial display where its dense color and flared detailing can be appreciated. It can also serve branding and packaging that call for a classic, authoritative voice, and for short text blocks where a compact, dramatic texture is desirable.

The font projects a traditional, formal tone with a slightly theatrical edge—confident and declarative rather than casual. Its flared terminals and tight proportions evoke vintage printing and newspaper-era typography, lending a sense of authority and seriousness.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice in a more forceful, space-efficient form, using flared stroke endings to add character and emphasis without resorting to slab-like heaviness. It aims for strong impact in display while remaining structured enough for controlled editorial use.

In running text the rhythm is compact and punchy, with noticeable weight concentration that benefits from generous leading. The figures appear sturdy and headline-ready, matching the assertive presence of the capitals.
