A high-contrast italic serif with a distinctly textured, hand-inked surface. Strokes show noticeable thick–thin modulation and slightly irregular edges, giving the letterforms a worn, printed look rather than a smooth digital finish. Serifs are sharp and tapered, with wedge-like terminals and brisk entry/exit strokes that reinforce the slanted, calligraphic rhythm. Proportions feel traditional and compact in the lowercase, while capitals are sturdy with pronounced stress and crisp interior counters; numerals share the same uneven, engraved character.

Well suited to display and short-to-medium text where a vintage, crafted impression is desired—such as book covers, editorial headings, posters, labels, and brand marks for artisanal goods. It can also work for pull quotes or atmospheric subheads when the texture is allowed to remain visible.

The overall tone is antique and literary, evoking old printing, engraved title pages, and weathered ink on paper. The roughened texture adds drama and tactility, making the font feel craft-forward and slightly untamed rather than polished or corporate.

The design appears intended to combine old-style serif proportions with an expressive, distressed ink texture, delivering a historically flavored italic with added tactile character. It aims for a classic reading rhythm while introducing a deliberately imperfect surface for mood and emphasis.

The italic slant is consistent and energetic, with a lively baseline feel created by the textured outlines and varying stroke presence. Because the texture is integral to the forms, the face reads most confidently when given enough size or contrast to preserve the interior shapes and counters.
