A high-contrast serif with sharply tapered hairlines and fuller vertical stems, creating a clear thick–thin rhythm. Serifs are finely bracketed and slightly flared, with crisp terminals and a subtly calligraphic feel in the curves. The capitals are stately and evenly proportioned, while the lowercase shows traditional book-face traits such as a two-storey a and g, narrow joins, and lively, modulated bowls. Numerals follow the same contrast pattern, with elegant curves and delicate finishing strokes that read best when given adequate size and spacing.

Well suited for book typography, magazine features, and other long-form editorial layouts where a classical serif voice is desired. It also performs convincingly in display roles—headlines, pull quotes, programs, and invitations—where its high contrast and refined serifs can be showcased. For branding, it supports heritage-leaning identities and premium packaging when used at suitable sizes.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, with a distinctly editorial polish. It conveys tradition and seriousness while retaining enough finesse to feel elegant rather than heavy.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literature-oriented serif voice with high-contrast elegance, balancing formal capitals with readable, traditional lowercase forms for editorial composition.

The glyph set shown emphasizes sharp detail and thin hairlines, so the texture can appear bright and refined in larger settings, while small sizes may require careful attention to reproduction and contrast. Round forms (O, C, Q) are smooth and open, and the strong vertical stress helps maintain a steady text rhythm.
