A heavy, block-constructed slab serif with an octagonal, chamfered shape language applied to stems, bowls, and counters. Serifs are rectangular and sturdy, and many joins and terminals are cut with flat angles that create a faceted, sign-painted rhythm. Curves are intentionally squared-off, with compact counters in letters like B, P, and R, and an angular S that reads more geometric than calligraphic. The overall texture is dense and even, with consistent stroke weight and crisp, hard edges that favor display sizes.

Best suited to headlines, posters, and large-scale typographic statements where its slab structure and chamfered geometry stay crisp and legible. It also fits sports and team branding, bold packaging, labels, and signage that benefits from a sturdy, vintage-industrial voice. For extended text, it works most comfortably in short bursts such as pull quotes, menus, or subheads.

The face conveys a collegiate and workmanlike tone—confident, tough, and slightly vintage—evoking athletic lettering, wood type posters, and utilitarian signage. Its faceted corners and stout slabs give it a no-nonsense presence that feels both classic and industrial.

The design appears intended to deliver a strong, high-impact slab serif with a distinctive faceted construction—combining the authority of traditional slabs with a geometric, cut-corner silhouette for memorable display typography.

Numerals and capitals are particularly robust, with angular forms such as the octagonal 0 and a squared, cut-in 8. The lowercase maintains the same chiseled construction, producing a distinctive, emphatic paragraph color; in longer settings it can feel visually insistent, making spacing and size choices important for comfortable reading.
