This serif face shows strongly modulated strokes with sharp, tapered terminals and compact wedge-like serifs that feel lightly carved rather than purely mechanical. Curves are slightly irregular and organic, with a hand-touched rhythm visible in bowls and joins, giving the texture a lively, uneven color across lines. Capitals are sturdy and sculptural with narrow apertures and pointed beaks, while the lowercase keeps a readable, old-style flow with gently angled stress and small, crisp finishing strokes. Figures follow the same chiseled, high-contrast logic, with open forms and distinctive tapering at corners.

Well-suited to book jackets, chapter openers, editorial headlines, and short-to-medium text where a historic, crafted voice is desired. It can also work for packaging and branding that wants an artisanal, old-world tone, especially when set with generous leading and not-too-tight tracking.

The overall tone is antique and bookish, evoking printed pages, folklore, and hand-press character. Its sharp tapers and subtly roughened contours add a crafted, slightly eccentric charm that can feel both historical and playful depending on setting.

The design appears intended to blend old-style readability with a more hand-cut, calligraphic bite, using high contrast and tapered serifs to create a distinct, engraved-looking texture. It prioritizes personality and period flavor while remaining coherent and usable in continuous reading at comfortable sizes.

In paragraph setting the face produces a textured, animated line, with small edge details and contrast creating sparkle at larger sizes. The glyphs show noticeable individuality—especially in terminals and serifs—so spacing and rhythm read as intentionally expressive rather than strictly uniform.
