A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a vertical stress pattern. Serifs are fine and sharply cut, with minimal bracketing, giving terminals a crisp, engraved feel. Capitals are tall and disciplined, with ample internal space in rounds (C, O, Q) and strong, straight-sided structure in E, F, H, and N. Lowercase shows a traditional book face rhythm with a two-storey a, a compact, looped g, and a narrow, right-leaning ear on g; ascenders are relatively tall and the overall color stays clean rather than dense. Numerals follow the same contrast logic, with delicate hairlines and sturdy main strokes, suited to text and titling where elegance is prioritized over ruggedness.

Well-suited to book interiors, magazine layouts, and other editorial typography where a traditional serif voice and clear hierarchy are needed. It also performs strongly in headlines, pull quotes, and formal communications that benefit from high contrast and sharp detailing.

The tone is classic and editorial, projecting seriousness and cultural polish. Its sharp hairlines and poised proportions read as formal and premium, with a quiet, literary authority rather than a casual or playful voice.

The design appears intended as a classic, high-contrast serif for reading and refined display, balancing traditional proportions with crisp, modernized finishing. It aims to deliver an elegant typographic color in text while providing striking contrast and authority in larger settings.

Spacing appears even in the text sample, with a steady baseline and consistent modulation across curves and diagonals. The font’s contrast becomes more pronounced at larger sizes, where the hairlines and crisp serifs contribute to a distinctly refined, print-oriented character.
