A high-contrast serif with sharply tapered hairlines and weighty vertical stems, creating a strong light–dark rhythm. Serifs are crisp and mostly bracketed, with pointed, wedge-like terminals that give the outlines a slightly chiseled feel. Counters are compact and the joins are tight, while round letters show pronounced stress and clean, controlled curves. Numerals and capitals read as sturdy and stately, with a consistent, display-forward texture across the set.

Best suited to headlines, deck type, and other prominent editorial roles where contrast and presence are assets. It can work for book covers, cultural posters, and brand wordmarks that want a classic foundation with added punch. For extended text, it will generally be more comfortable at moderate sizes with generous leading to prevent the dense rhythm from feeling heavy.

The overall tone is confident and ceremonial, with a distinctly editorial sophistication. Its sharp terminals and strong contrast lend a dramatic, slightly theatrical voice, while the traditional serif structure keeps it grounded and reputable.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif reading silhouette with amplified contrast and sharper terminals for stronger display impact. It balances familiar proportions with sculpted details to project authority and elegance in attention-grabbing settings.

In the sample text, the dense vertical rhythm and pronounced contrast make lines feel authoritative and emphatic, especially at larger sizes. The pointed terminals and firm serifs add visual bite that can dominate quieter layouts, so spacing and size choices will strongly influence perceived refinement versus intensity.
