A very heavy serif with compact proportions and pronounced, wedge-like bracketed serifs that create strong, triangular joins. Strokes are broadly even with moderate modulation, and many letters show slightly pinched interior corners that read like subtle ink-trap behavior at this weight. Curves are full and rounded (notably in C, O, and the lowercase bowls), while joins and terminals stay crisp, giving the face a sturdy, carved-from-black feel. The lowercase uses single-storey a and g, generous bowls, and sturdy stems, keeping the rhythm dense and highly legible at display sizes.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and other short-to-medium display copy where its dense color and strong serifs can carry impact. It also works well for mastheads, book covers, and packaging that want a traditional, trustworthy voice. In longer passages, it will read most comfortably at larger sizes with sufficient line spacing.

The overall tone is authoritative and familiar, with a classic, institutional flavor. Its weight and sharp serif accents add punch and seriousness, while the rounded bowls keep it approachable rather than austere. The result feels confident and editorial, with a hint of collegiate or heritage signage energy.

The design appears intended to deliver classic serif credibility with maximum presence, using wedge-like serifs and compact, rounded forms to stay readable and cohesive at very heavy weights. It emphasizes strong word shapes and a consistent, emphatic typographic color for attention-driven editorial and branding settings.

Spacing appears relatively tight for the amount of black, producing a compact, poster-ready color in lines of text. Numerals are bold and round, matching the letterforms closely and maintaining a cohesive, emphatic texture.
