This typeface is a right-leaning serif with gently flared stroke endings and bracketed, wedge-like serifs. Strokes feel drawn with a broad, calligraphic logic: curves are smooth and open, joins are soft, and terminals often taper to subtle points rather than blunt cuts. The capitals are proportioned with classical restraint—round letters are generously wide while straight-sided forms stay crisp—creating a steady, bookish rhythm. Lowercase shows oldstyle traits such as a two-storey “a,” a single-storey “g,” and a modest, flowing “f,” with numerals that share the same tapered, serifed detailing for a cohesive texture in text.

Well-suited to long-form editorial and book typography where a refined, classical italic voice is desired. It also works effectively for pull quotes, subheads, and elegant short texts such as programs, invitations, or captions that benefit from a warm, traditional serif presence.

The overall tone is cultured and traditional, with a quiet sophistication that reads as editorial and literary rather than loud or decorative. Its flared endings and calligraphic movement add warmth and human presence, giving text a graceful, slightly formal character.

The design appears intended to provide a readable, classical italic with flared, calligraphic detailing—balancing elegance and text practicality while keeping a cohesive, historically informed rhythm across capitals, lowercase, and figures.

Spacing appears comfortable in running text, and the italic angle is consistent across letters and figures, helping paragraphs keep an even color. The design maintains clear counters and smooth modulation through curves, supporting readability while preserving a distinctly classical flavor.
