A calligraphic serif with compact lowercase proportions and pronounced stroke modulation. Serifs are mostly wedge-like and bracketed, with subtly uneven terminals that create an inked, slightly rough edge rather than a polished machined finish. Counters are moderate and forms lean toward softly rounded, old-style construction; curves transition into stems with visible thick–thin movement, and joins feel hand-influenced. Uppercase letters are sturdy and slightly idiosyncratic in silhouette, while the lowercase keeps a tight rhythm with short extenders and a modest, compact set width that varies from glyph to glyph.

Well-suited to book covers, editorial titles, pull quotes, and literary or heritage-leaning branding where a warm, traditional serif voice is desired. It can also work for invitations or packaging that benefits from an old-world, hand-printed feel. For longer passages, it will read best when given comfortable size and spacing so the textured details don’t crowd the page.

The overall tone is classic and bookish, evoking an antique, hand-set or hand-printed sensibility. Its gentle irregularities and lively terminals add warmth and personality, lending a subtly rustic, storybook character without becoming decorative or novelty-driven.

The design appears intended to capture an old-style, humanist reading texture with visible calligraphic influence and a slightly distressed ink edge, balancing historical character with practical, text-oriented letterforms. The goal seems to be a familiar serif voice made more expressive through subtle irregularity and lively, wedge-shaped terminals.

The face shows noticeable individualism in certain capitals and in the numerals, which feel slightly hand-shaped; this adds charm but also introduces a more textured rhythm in continuous text. At larger sizes the inked edge and terminal shapes become a prominent feature of the style.
