A high-contrast serif with strong vertical stress and sharply tapered hairlines set against broad, weighty stems. Serifs are finely bracketed and crisp, with occasional teardrop and ball-like terminals that add a slightly calligraphic finish. Capitals feel sturdy and sculptural with generous internal space, while lowercase shows a mix of round, open bowls and distinctive curved joins (notably in forms like a, g, and y), giving the texture a lively, engraved rhythm. Figures follow the same contrast model, with bold main strokes and delicate connecting strokes that read clearly at display sizes.

Well-suited to magazine heads, editorial titles, fashion and luxury branding, and poster typography where contrast and presence are desired. It can also work for short pull quotes or deck copy when set large enough to keep the hairlines intact.

The tone is assertive and polished, evoking contemporary editorial typography with a classical undercurrent. Its sharp contrast and confident proportions create a sense of luxury and drama, suitable for attention-grabbing headlines while still feeling rooted in traditional bookish forms.

The design appears intended to deliver a modern, display-forward serif with classic proportions, using extreme contrast and refined terminals to project sophistication and impact. It prioritizes striking typographic color and elegance over neutrality, aiming for memorable, high-end communication.

In text settings the stroke contrast produces a pronounced light–dark pattern and a slightly sparkling surface, especially around curved letters and terminals. The heavy verticals and fine hairlines suggest it will be most comfortable where printing or rendering can preserve thin details.
