A serif text face with bracketing and visibly calligraphic modulation. Strokes show lively, slightly uneven contours that feel inked rather than mechanically perfect, paired with crisp triangular and wedge-like terminals. Round letters are subtly oblique in stress, and the overall rhythm is gently irregular, giving the texture a human, printed-on-paper quality. Capitals are sturdy with compact proportions; lowercase has a modest x-height and pronounced ascenders/descenders, while punctuation and numerals follow the same slightly roughened, high-contrast logic.

Well-suited to longform editorial and book typography where a traditional serif voice is desired, especially for literature, essays, and heritage-themed content. It can also serve effectively for headings, pull quotes, and packaging that benefits from a classic, slightly weathered print feel.

The tone is classic and bookish with an artisanal edge—evoking traditional printing, editorial seriousness, and a touch of historical character. Its slight roughness adds warmth and personality without tipping into novelty, making it feel trustworthy and familiar.

The design appears intended to translate old-style, calligraphy-informed serif construction into a practical text face while preserving the tactile impression of ink and print. It balances readability with character by keeping familiar proportions and serifs, then introducing subtle roughness and energetic terminals for a more human, crafted texture.

In text settings the color is moderately dark and textured, with noticeable character in joins and terminals that reads like letterpress or worn metal type. Narrow counters in some letters and the energetic stroke endings create a distinct, slightly rugged page texture, especially at larger sizes.
