A sturdy serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and generous horizontal proportions. Serifs are bracketing and often wedge-like, with subtly flared, calligraphic transitions that give strokes a carved, inked character. Curves are full and slightly squarish in places, while counters stay open and legible at large sizes. The lowercase shows compact extenders and a moderate, traditional rhythm, with a single-storey “g” and rounded terminals that add warmth to an otherwise weighty texture. Numerals and capitals read firmly, producing a dense, even typographic color across lines.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and short blocks where its strong contrast and broad proportions can be appreciated. It can also work for editorial and book-cover typography that benefits from a traditional, authoritative serif voice, especially at medium-to-large sizes.

The font conveys a confident, old-world seriousness with a hint of handcrafted charm. Its hefty presence and crisp contrast feel formal and bookish, suited to messaging that wants to sound established and trustworthy.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif with added gravitas—combining classic text-serif structure with bolder, more expressive bracketing and terminals to create a distinctive, display-forward texture.

The design’s terminals and bracketing create a slightly “inked” finish, as if shaped by a broad pen or engraved tooling. At display sizes the details in joins and serifs become a distinctive signature, while the overall spacing supports solid word shapes.
