A high-contrast serif with crisp, slightly calligraphic construction and visibly bracketed serifs. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation and occasional angular, wedge-like terminals that create a lively, cut-into-the-page texture. Proportions feel traditional with a relatively small x-height against tall ascenders, and many letters exhibit subtly irregular, hand-inked contours that keep the rhythm from feeling purely mechanical. Curves (notably in O/Q/C) are round but tense, while joins and serifs can sharpen into points, giving the overall silhouette a carved, old-style character.

Best suited to display and larger text settings such as book covers, magazine/editorial headlines, pull quotes, and boutique branding where its contrast and sharp serifs can be appreciated. It can also work for short-form reading passages when generous size and spacing are used to preserve clarity and keep the texture from becoming too busy.

The font reads as classic and literary, with a touch of drama from its strong contrast and sharp finishing details. Its slightly roughened, handmade edge evokes printed pages, historical documents, or crafted editorial typography rather than slick corporate minimalism.

The design appears intended to reinterpret an old-style, humanist serif voice with heightened contrast and a deliberately crafted, slightly irregular finish. It aims to provide a traditional, authoritative tone while adding visual bite through sharpened terminals and a distinctly inked texture.

In running text, the pronounced contrast and pointed details create an energetic sparkle, especially at larger sizes. Numerals and capitals carry the same chiseled, calligraphic logic, helping headings and short phrases feel consistent and intentional.
