A compact, vertically oriented serif with pronounced flaring at stroke terminals and wedge-like feet that read as subtly incised rather than bracketed. Stems are sturdy and fairly even, with gently tapered joins and sharp, pointed apexes on forms like A, V, and W. Curves are tight and controlled, with narrow bowls and small apertures that keep the texture dense; the lowercase shows a two-storey a and g, a compact e, and a short-shouldered r. Numerals follow the same condensed rhythm, with strong vertical stress and crisp terminal treatment.

Best suited to display roles such as headlines, magazine titling, book covers, and branding where its condensed footprint and flared terminals can be appreciated. It can work for short editorial passages at comfortable sizes, but its tight apertures and dense texture favor larger settings and stronger hierarchy rather than small, extended body copy.

The overall tone feels authoritative and slightly theatrical, combining a traditional bookish seriousness with a distinctive, chiseled edge. Its dense spacing and flared endings create a confident, poster-ready presence that leans classic rather than contemporary.

The design appears intended to deliver a condensed, high-impact serif that echoes engraved or stone-cut letterforms while remaining legible in modern layout contexts. Its consistent flaring and controlled proportions suggest a focus on strong vertical rhythm and a distinctive silhouette for titling.

The flaring at ends is consistently applied across caps, lowercase, and figures, producing a carved, calligraphic impression without visible swashiness. The narrow internal counters and firm vertical emphasis give lines of text a dark, continuous color, while the pointed terminals add sparkle at larger sizes.
