A high-contrast serif with pronounced vertical stress, thick main strokes, and very fine hairlines. Serifs are crisp and largely unbracketed, giving the letterforms a sharp, clean-cut finish. Bowls and rounds are generously proportioned, while joins and apexes stay pointed and controlled, producing a stately rhythm at display sizes. The lowercase shows a relatively compact x-height with strong thick–thin modulation and narrow, precise connecting strokes, maintaining a consistent, engraved-like texture across words.

Best suited for headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and other display applications where its contrast and crisp serifs can be appreciated. It also works well for magazine-style typography, book covers, and sophisticated branding where a refined, classical voice is desired, while longer text benefits from generous sizing and spacing.

The overall tone is elegant and emphatic, with a distinctly editorial, heritage feel. Its sharp serifs and dramatic contrast evoke luxury, formality, and a slightly theatrical sophistication suited to high-impact typographic statements.

The design appears intended to deliver a modern take on classical high-contrast serif construction: impactful verticals, razor-thin hairlines, and sharply finished serifs that communicate refinement and authority. Its proportions and rhythm aim for strong presence in display settings while preserving familiar, traditional letterform cues.

In the sample text, the strong contrast creates a bright, shimmering page color with clear vertical emphasis; the finest strokes appear delicate, so the design reads most confidently when given enough size and clean reproduction. Numerals follow the same contrast-driven construction, with open counters and slender connecting strokes that align with the text style.
