A heavy, block-forward slab serif with broad, square-cut terminals and strongly bracketed-free serifs that read as crisp rectangular appendages. Strokes are consistently thick with tight inner counters and a robust, compact rhythm; curves (C, G, O, Q) are rounded but kept firm by flattened joins and straightened segments. The lowercase is similarly weighty with short-looking extenders and blunt endings, producing dense word shapes with pronounced texture. Numerals match the letterforms in mass and squareness, keeping a uniform, poster-ready color across lines.

Best suited to headlines, titles, and short bursts of copy where its dense color and slab structure can carry impact. It works well for sports and collegiate branding, labels and packaging, storefront or wayfinding signage, and editorial display where a strong, traditional voice is needed.

The tone is confident and no-nonsense, with a familiar collegiate and workwear sensibility. Its chunky slabs and compact counters give it a tough, utilitarian character that feels both retro and attention-grabbing.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum solidity and legibility at display sizes through strong slab serifs, compact proportions, and a consistent, blocky rhythm. It emphasizes punchy word shapes and a classic, institutional presence over delicacy or long-form reading comfort.

At text sizes the weight creates strong horizontal emphasis from the slabs and crossbars, and the tight apertures can make long passages feel dense. In larger settings the geometry and squared terminals become a defining graphic feature.
