A heavy, high-contrast serif with sculpted, flaring terminals and strongly bracketed serifs that widen from the stems. The letterforms show a subtly sheared, calligraphic axis in rounds (notably in O/C/G and the lowercase bowls), with crisp joins and pointed, beak-like endings on several strokes. Counters are compact and the overall color is dense, while the numerals and capitals keep a sturdy, poster-ready presence. Lowercase forms lean toward transitional/oldstyle behavior—double-storey a, compact e, and a lively g—with tight apertures and pronounced stroke modulation.

Best suited to headlines, mastheads, pull quotes, and other short-to-medium display settings where its dense color and flared serif detailing can be appreciated. It can also work for premium packaging and brand marks that want a classic, authoritative voice, especially at larger sizes or with generous leading.

The tone is stately and assertive, combining traditional bookish manners with a bold, display-forward punch. Its sculpted serifs and angled stress give it a slightly historical, engraved feel that reads as confident and institutional rather than casual.

Designed to deliver a traditional serif voice with heightened contrast and sculpted terminals, prioritizing impact and character over neutrality. The flared endings and calligraphic stress suggest an intent to evoke heritage and gravitas while remaining highly readable in display typography.

Spacing appears moderately tight at display sizes, which helps it build strong word shapes but can make dense passages feel weighty. The italic is not shown; all samples appear upright. Figures are robust and legible, with clear differentiation and strong baseline presence.
