A serifed text face with uneven, broken contours that resemble worn printing or ink dragged over textured paper. Strokes are generally slender with gently modulated thick–thin transitions, and terminals often end in sharp, tapered points or small wedge-like feet. The outlines are intentionally inconsistent from letter to letter, creating a lively, slightly shaky rhythm; counters stay fairly open, while curves show subtle flattening and nicks that add to the distressed texture. Uppercase forms feel more decorative and display-leaning, while the lowercase retains a readable, bookish skeleton with compact proportions.

It suits display and short-form text where a weathered, historical voice is desirable—book and album covers, posters, labels, and themed branding. It can work for pull quotes or headings in editorial layouts, but the constant edge texture is best at moderate-to-large sizes where the distressed details read clearly without overpowering legibility.

The font conveys an antiquarian, handmade tone—part medieval manuscript, early printing, or folklore ephemera. Its roughened edges and irregular finish introduce grit and authenticity, suggesting age, mystery, and a tactile, crafted quality rather than polished modernity.

The design appears intended to evoke old-world serif lettering through a deliberate distressed finish, blending calligraphic cues with the irregularities of worn type or rough printmaking. The goal is to provide an immediately thematic, timeworn texture while keeping familiar serif letterforms for readable setting in titles and brief passages.

In continuous text the distressed detailing is persistent and visually active, so the texture becomes part of the color of the paragraph. The numerals follow the same roughened treatment and look suited to period or thematic settings rather than utilitarian interfaces.
