A serif text face with calligraphic, old-style construction and visibly irregular, ink-worn contours. Strokes show pronounced contrast and subtle modulation, with tapered terminals and bracketed, wedge-like serifs that feel carved rather than mechanically sharp. Bowls and shoulders are slightly asymmetrical, and counters stay open despite the distressed edges. The overall rhythm is lively and uneven in a controlled way, with small variations in stroke width and edge bite that read as printed or weathered.

Best suited to display and short-to-medium passages where its distressed detailing can be appreciated—book covers, chapter openers, pull quotes, posters, and period-flavored branding. It can also work for packaging or labels that benefit from a vintage, hand-inked impression, especially at moderate to large sizes.

The font conveys an antique, hand-printed character—part literary, part theatrical—suggesting aged paper, letterpress, or ink that has feathered and chipped over time. Its texture adds drama and atmosphere, making text feel narrative and evocative rather than purely informational.

The design appears intended to merge a traditional old-style serif foundation with a deliberately worn, inked texture, creating a vintage, tactile voice without abandoning familiar text-letter proportions. It prioritizes atmosphere and narrative character, aiming to make typography feel materially printed rather than digitally pristine.

In the sample text, the roughened outline becomes a key feature: at larger sizes it reads as tactile texture, while at smaller sizes it can visually thicken joins and reduce crispness. Numerals and capitals have a classic, traditional demeanor, with the distressed treatment applied consistently across the set.
