A serif typeface with a classic, book-oriented skeleton and noticeably rough, deckled-looking contours. Strokes keep a steady rhythm but show subtle wobble and uneven edges, as if from worn type, soft paper, or imperfect inking. Serifs are bracketed and slightly flared with irregular terminals, and curves (notably in C, G, O, Q) have a gently hand-shaped feel. Proportions are fairly traditional with open counters and a straightforward, readable lowercase; figures follow the same textured, slightly calligraphic modulation.

Well-suited to book covers, editorial headlines, and pull quotes where a vintage or tactile print vibe is desired. It can also support packaging, labels, posters, and themed branding that benefits from an antique or handmade impression, especially when paired with simple layouts and generous spacing.

The overall tone feels archival and tactile—like an old printed page or a well-used press form—while staying friendly and approachable. The roughness adds character and a hint of storytelling, giving the face a quaint, literary mood rather than a clean modern polish.

The design appears intended to evoke traditional serif printing while introducing controlled wear and ink irregularity for atmosphere. It aims to deliver familiar, readable forms with added texture to suggest age, craft, or imperfect production.

Texture is consistent across uppercase, lowercase, and numerals, so the distressed effect reads as intentional rather than accidental. In longer text the irregular edges create a lively color on the page, with enough structure in the underlying letterforms to remain legible at typical reading sizes.
