A serif display face with irregular, ink-worn contours and uneven interior shading that mimics rough printing or distressed stamping. Strokes show subtle wobble and intermittent thickening, with blunt, slightly flared terminals and compact serifs that feel carved rather than crisply drawn. Counters and bowls are somewhat tight and asymmetrical, and the overall rhythm is intentionally inconsistent, giving lines a lively, imperfect texture while remaining legible at display sizes.

Best suited to short-to-medium display settings where its distressed texture can read clearly—posters, headlines, book or album covers, and thematic branding. It also works well for packaging and labels that aim for an antique, handcrafted, or Halloween/gothic-tinged atmosphere; for long body text, the built-in texture may feel busy at smaller sizes.

The distressed, inky finish and antique letterpress flavor create a nostalgic, slightly eerie tone. It reads as handmade and timeworn—suggesting old posters, curiosity-shop ephemera, and pulp-era drama—while retaining a playful quirkiness rather than pure severity.

The design appears intended to recreate the character of aged printing—uneven inking, worn impressions, and hand-set type irregularities—while maintaining recognizable serif structures for readability. Its goal is expressive atmosphere over neutrality, delivering instant period flavor and tactile grit.

The texture is built into the letterforms (not just the edges), producing a mottled, engraved look that becomes more pronounced in heavier strokes. Numerals share the same rough, old-style character, and mixed-case setting in the sample shows a bouncy baseline feel created by irregular stroke behavior and varied serif shapes.
